(2) Composition of the plate and imaging principle

The composition of the plate material is basically similar to that of the high-sensitivity resin plate material, but the imaging principle is different. The plate material does not have a PVA protective layer. The resin layer contains no sensitizing dye, but contains infrared absorbing dyes. When the infrared laser is irradiated, the infrared absorbing dye first absorbs the infrared laser, and then converts the light energy into thermal energy, and the thermal energy causes the cross-linking resin to produce a cross-linking reaction to form a latent image.
Pre-heat treatment: pre-heat treatment after exposure, heating it to 120 ℃, the heating time is generally controlled at about 1 minute, to accelerate the cross-linking reaction of the resin layer at the exposed part, so that the image is not soluble in alkaline water during development; also Enhances the solvent resistance of the film layer of the image part, making it difficult to be dissolved by alcohol dampening solution or other solvents.

Development and plate fixation: develop with alkali water to remove the resin layer that has not undergone polymerization reaction in the non-exposed part, and then use plate fixation solution for plate fixation.
Baking plate: In order to improve the printing plate's durability, it can be baked at 250 ℃ for 3 minutes, and its printing resistance can reach 1 million.

Compared with photosensitive CTP plates, thermally cross-linked CTP plates have the following advantages:

â‘¡The thermal cross-linking CTP plate relies on infrared laser exposure imaging. Its working principle is different from the general laser imaging plate. Only when the temperature is at a critical value, the printing plate will undergo physical or chemical changes. If the temperature is lower than the critical value, the plate will not undergo any reaction. When the temperature exceeds the critical value, it will not cause excessive exposure of the dots. Therefore, the plate-making process is easy to control.

â‘¢High imaging quality and clear dots. Since the plate material of the thermal system is only imaged at the critical temperature, the diffuse heat will not have any effect on the printing plate. There are either images or no images on the printing plate, only these two cases. Therefore, the imaging is accurate and the edges of the dots are clear.
