Food packaging manufacturer Linpac invests in production of EPS plates

Linpac, a UK-based fresh food packaging manufacturer, will invest 1.2 million pounds in the processing plant of Mount St. Helens. This project is Linpac's biggest investment this year, which can increase the annual production capacity of 200 million tons of EPS pallets.

The factory's existing extruders and thermoforming machines will be upgraded to improve product quality. In addition, environmental benefits and cost-effectiveness will be remedied. After the completion of the project, the St. Helens plant will have four extrusion production lines and 10 thermoforming lines.

Linpac is the largest manufacturer of EPS packaging solutions in the UK. The St. Helens Volcano plant specializes in producing EPS-based products for the country and the European market, including some innovative fast food boxes, trays, and pizza trays.

Mick Wood, general manager of the Linpac UK market, said: “This investment demonstrates our commitment to this and overseas catering markets and has been upgrading our manufacturing capabilities in one direction. This will ensure that we can provide our customers with market-leading quality. And service capabilities."

The investment plan will promote the local economic development by adding an additional 20 jobs.
