Masquespacio is an award-winning creative agency founded in 2010 by Ana Milena Hernández Palacios and Christophe Penasse. Blending their backgrounds in interior design and marketing, the Spanish design firm crafts custom branding and interior projects with a unique approach that brings fresh and innovative concepts to life. At their first appearance at the impressive Casa Decor event, the pair shared what they loved most about the experience. “The best memory was the camaraderie among the different interior designers and creatives. Each one presents their own style, making the event very eclectic and diverse. It's also great to meet people in the industry you've followed for years but never met in person,” they said.

“We were clear from the beginning that we wanted to show that a commercial product like ceramics could be transformed into something more. So we decided to create a living room where ceramics are used not only for walls and ceilings, but also for furniture pieces. Adding a touch of velvet and plants gave it a warmer and more sophisticated feel.”

Masquespacio showcased a space for Roca Tile at Casa Decor, paying tribute to ceramics and its role in interior design and decoration. The concept, titled "A Look to the Future from the Past," explores how modern technology allows ceramics to adapt to various uses, including symbolic furnishings that "observe" us and organic vegetation details, contrasting with the floor and wall coverings. This creates a unique environment defined by its composition and lighting.

The elegance of polished marble’s flowing water patterns, its light-enhancing effects, and reflectivity are recreated in porcelain, offering wider color ranges than natural stone. Luminous finishes such as indigo and cobalt in Marble Nouveau, or white with ochre crisscrossed streaks in Marble Parana, highlight this innovation.

“Greco-Roman inspiration is evident in the space, but reimagined for the future with a touch of surreal fantasy. We call it a 'ceramic dream'—a mood board of Roca Tile materials that captures the essence of modern design.”

The new Roca Tile collections featured at Casa Decor come from exclusive trend research, offering bright marbles, solid-colored pieces, patterns, meshes, and tiles that represent endless decorative possibilities. These collections project a coherent aesthetic across integrated spaces, creating unique environments.

The space serves as a stage and exhibition, featuring a dreamlike atmosphere and artistic taste, created from a multitude of textures, formats, colors, and finishes that redefine the use of ceramics as a source of inspiration for interior design and architecture.

“Roca has a strong commitment to sustainability, with continuous improvement programs and eco-friendly practices throughout its production process. They focus on reducing environmental impact, minimizing material consumption, and reusing natural resources in line with circular economy principles.”

This is the twelfth edition of the event held in a stately neighborhood of Madrid, taking place in a 20th-century palace located at 21 Velázquez Street. Spanning over 5,600 square meters across five floors, the venue stands out for its architectural uniqueness, providing the perfect setting for 50 participating interior designers to showcase their groundbreaking ideas.
