Colorimeter Operation Guide:
1. Remove the lens protective cover to ensure clear access to the measurement area.
2. Turn on the power switch by setting it to the ON position.
3. Press the TARGET key to select the sample. The screen will display "Target L ab".
4. Align the lens with the part of the sample you want to measure. Then press the input key and wait for the beep sound before removing the lens. At this point, the absolute color value of the sample will be shown: Target L **.* a ± **.* b ± **.*.
5. Next, align the lens with the object you are testing. Repeat step 4 to perform the measurement. The screen will now show the color values of both the object and the sample: dL **.* da ± **.* db ± **.*.
6. Based on the working principle, the color difference and the direction of color shift between the two samples can be determined using the dL, da, and db values.
7. To test other items, repeat steps 4 through 6 to compare their color differences with the reference sample.
8. To start a new measurement, tap the TARGET key again and proceed from step 4.
9. After completing the test, replace the lens protective cover and turn off the power to ensure the device is properly stored.
This guide provides a clear and detailed process for using the colorimeter effectively, ensuring accurate and consistent color measurements. Make sure to follow all steps carefully to avoid errors and maintain the performance of the instrument.
