Early in the morning, the sales office of Guangzhou, Xiao Tan, called again to talk about the training project of Shantou Dongfeng.

In mid-February, Shantou Dongfeng Printing Factory ordered 5 Speedmaster CD102 offset printing presses for a total of 35 printing units at a stretch, which is really generous! Several long talks made me realize that the two of us really wanted to go together. In line with the purpose of Heidelberg's integrated solution and the principle of being close to the user and worrying about the first user-we agreed to create a training project for Dongfeng; in addition, it is absolutely necessary to do an on-site training in their factory ——Starting from reality, helping them to discover, research and solve problems, so that the production quality and efficiency of enterprises can be greatly improved.

Mr. Xie, the chief engineer assistant of Shantou Dongfeng, later replied that they very much agreed with this training concept and greatly appreciated our stable and solid working style. In fact, Dongfeng is a leading enterprise in the packaging and printing industry, and has been among the top 100 printing companies for four consecutive years. These two weeks have been busy discussing specific training programs with Shantou Dongfeng.

They did work hard not only to study our training program and curriculum outline, but also to make requests, hoping that we can help solve the problems in production at this stage. They are eager to learn all the essence of the course in 5 days of training-I understand this very well. Practically speaking, when formulating the plan, Mr. Zuo, Mr. He and others conducted comprehensive considerations from various aspects, including the objectives and expected effects of this training, the practical level of the trainees, time schedule, and teaching methods and many more. Arrived in Shantou yesterday, Dongfeng sent someone to pick it up. Along the way, swaying branches of phoenix flowers and elegant orchids can be seen everywhere. The weather here is similar to Shenzhen. Even at dusk, the heat during the day is still intact.

Less than 8:30 this morning, we came down to Shantou Dongfeng under the leadership of Mr. Xie. The training officially started at 9 o'clock. Dongfeng attaches great importance to this training-all senior executives, managers of the production department, supervisors, pilots, operators, and persons in charge of the engineering department and quality inspection department all arrived at the training site on time. There were twenty or thirty people crowded in the meeting room.

I like to be straightforward, so I immediately asked: I hope you will talk about the problems and problems that are currently encountered in production. Since I entered the factory the day before yesterday, I noticed that: Dongfeng's pre-press link is mainly based on computer-to-plate making method — logically speaking, accurate and clean printing plates ... should be their outstanding advantages, which surprised me So, such a good resource does not bring out the effect here, and the efficiency of the printing press is therefore quite restricted.

One night, this question kept flashing back in my mind. In fact, I always like to remind students to turn over and over again: The operating efficiency and productivity of the printing press are largely subject to pre-press and printing preparations! If these steps are wrong, whether it is the problem of developing or printing, which leads to the appearance of dirty spots, or the deviation of punching and plate installation, the result will be too long preparation time and delay time. How can the enterprise be effective and competitive!

I helped them calculate an account: As long as the problem of dirty spots and deviations of the printing plate is solved, the original production preparation time can be shortened to less than 20 minutes, the efficiency is doubled, and the printing capacity can be doubled. In addition to the pre-press link, I also found that in Dongfeng, some operators lack the concept of correct operation and adjustment, and several machines have their own operating standards ... The students were very serious and quickly grasped the technical essentials. When I practiced the first edition, I saw that they could assemble and disassemble two or three times in succession and they could basically achieve accurate registration. This morning, when I talked about the principle of water-ink balance and the arrangement of water rollers, some people gave me advice, saying that this part is not very useful, can it be omitted-this is the problem. I insist that when you understand the ins and outs of the principles and things, you can master the thinking method, which is very useful for strengthening your ability to analyze and judge problems, which is much more meaningful than I directly publish the answers. On the way back today, I remembered one more detail: One day I got on the machine and found that Dongfeng used industrial alcohol instead of normal isopropyl alcohol, which doubled the amount of printing water and caused serious emulsification problems. I asked the Purchasing Department to buy a barrel of correct isopropyl alcohol, and then showed it to everyone on site: the water volume immediately dropped from 60% to 20%, and the cleanliness and quality of the printing plate were greatly improved. There are a few similar problems, which should be sorted out next week to remind them to pay attention to the correct method of use.

July 14 (Monday)

I received a thank-you note from Dongfeng Printing Factory today, which was a surprise and a surprise.

This is the first time! Looking at the large thank-you letters, I can't help but show the faces of the students ... I understand that they have high expectations for this training and have put a lot of effort into it. Although it was only 5 days, they really learned a lot and changed a lot.
