SEMIKRON debuts power module vacuum packaging

Recently, SEMIKRON introduced the first vacuum sealed package SEMISEAL for power modules to ensure safer and easier handling. The packaging provides the mechanical and environmental protection against harmful effects such as humidity, corrosive elements and dust, as well as shock and vibration.

According to reports, the power module is vacuum-sealed between plastic film and adhesive coated white paperboard. After production, the module is immediately sealed with transparent white foil and coated with white paperboard. The package remains intact during storage and transportation. Compared with standard packaging, SEMISEAL offers customers a complete seal. The quality of the module can be guaranteed before the customer opens the package.

SEMISEAL packaging allows different quantities of a module to be packaged in one package. The cardboard and ionomer plastic film used do not contaminate the environment and can be recycled. At the same time, the vacuum sealed packaging units for SEMIPACK2 and SEMITRANS2 are approximately 50% lighter than standard packaging units.
