Air shower room troubleshooting method Shanghai Sujing

There are several common issues that can occur with an air shower system. Understanding these problems and knowing how to troubleshoot them can help ensure smooth operation and maintain the cleanliness of your cleanroom environment.

First, check the power supply. There are typically four locations where the power can be turned off in an air shower:

1. The power switch on the outdoor shower booth;

2. The control panel inside the indoor cabinet of the air shower;

3. The air boxes located on both sides of the air shower room (these switches serve as emergency power cut-off points, enhancing staff safety);

4. The main power source for the entire system. If the power indicator is not working, make sure to check all these locations before assuming a more serious issue.

Second, if the fan is not operating, the first thing to check is the emergency switch on the outdoor shower box. If it has been tripped, gently press it and turn it to the right, then release your hand. This should reset the system and restore power to the fan.

Third, if the fan is running in reverse or the airflow is weak, it's possible that the 380V three-phase four-wire connection has been reversed. Most manufacturers assign a qualified electrician to handle the wiring during installation. Incorrect wiring can cause the fan to malfunction or reduce airflow significantly, potentially damaging the circuit board. It's strongly advised that companies avoid changing the wiring themselves. If relocation is necessary, always consult the manufacturer for guidance.

Fourth, if the air shower isn't blowing air, check the emergency stop button inside the chamber. If it’s pressed, the system will not operate. Pressing it again should restart the air shower.

Fifth, if the air shower fails to automatically detect when someone enters, check the light sensor located at the lower right corner of the indoor unit. Ensure that the sensor is properly installed and functioning. If the sensors on both sides are working correctly, the system should trigger the airflow automatically.

Sixth, after prolonged use, you may notice a drop in airflow. This could be due to excessive dust buildup in the initial or high-efficiency filters. Inspect the filters and replace them if needed. Typically, the primary filter should be replaced every 1–6 months, while the high-efficiency filter may need replacement every 6–12 months.

The air shower is a crucial component in any cleanroom setup. It ensures that personnel entering the clean area are thoroughly decontaminated by high-velocity air jets from multiple directions. These jets effectively remove dust, hair, and other particles from clothing, minimizing contamination risks. The two doors of the air shower are electronically interlocked, acting as an airlock to prevent unfiltered air from entering the clean zone. This helps maintain strict cleanliness standards, ensuring a safe and controlled environment for sensitive manufacturing processes. By using an air shower, companies can produce high-quality products while maintaining compliance with industry regulations.
