Air shower room troubleshooting method Shanghai Sujing

There are several common issues that may occur with an air shower system. Understanding these problems and how to address them can help ensure smooth operation and maintain the cleanliness of your cleanroom environment.

First, power-related issues are one of the most frequent problems. There are typically four locations where the power supply to the air shower can be turned off:

  1. The power switch on the outdoor shower booth;
  2. The control panel located inside the indoor cabinet;
  3. The power switches on both sides of the air shower room;
  4. The emergency power cut-off switch, which is designed to prevent power loss in case of an emergency, ensuring the safety of personnel.

If the power indicator is not working, it’s important to check all these locations before assuming a more serious issue.

Second, if the fan isn’t running, the first thing to check is the emergency switch on the outdoor shower box. If it’s tripped, simply press it gently and turn it to the right, then release your hand. This should restore normal operation.

Third, if the fan is spinning in the wrong direction or the airflow is very weak, it could indicate that the 380V three-phase four-wire connection has been reversed. The manufacturer usually handles this during installation, so it’s best not to attempt any wiring changes yourself. If you must rewire for production needs, always consult the manufacturer first to avoid damaging the system.

Fourth, if the air shower isn’t blowing at all, check whether the emergency stop button inside the chamber is pressed. If it’s engaged, pressing it again should resume normal function.

Fifth, if the air shower doesn’t automatically detect when someone enters, check the light sensor located in the lower right corner of the indoor unit. Ensure the sensor is properly installed and functioning. If the sensors are correctly aligned and working, the system should activate automatically.

Sixth, over time, you may notice a decrease in wind speed. This is often due to clogged filters. Check both the pre-filter and high-efficiency filter. If they are excessively dirty, replace them immediately. Typically, the pre-filter should be replaced every 1–6 months, while the high-efficiency filter may need replacement every 6–12 months.

The air shower is a crucial component in maintaining a cleanroom environment. It ensures that personnel entering the clean area are thoroughly cleaned by high-velocity air jets from multiple directions. This helps remove dust, hair, and other contaminants from clothing, reducing the risk of contamination within the cleanroom. The two doors of the air shower are electronically interlocked, acting as an air lock to prevent unfiltered air from entering the controlled space. By eliminating the introduction of dirt, bacteria, and particles, the air shower plays a vital role in meeting strict purification standards and supporting the production of high-quality, contamination-free products.
