Primera Releases LX800 Color Label Printer

Primera Technologies has released the LX800 color label printer, a high-performance inkjet-based label printer. It can print a label with a minimum size of 38mm x 75mm, a maximum of 210mm x 610mm, and a print resolution of up to 4800 x 1200 dpi.

The application range of this on-demand, high-quality color printer includes basic product labels, box-end labels with images, and various other retail, office, and industrial labels. The LX800 is easy to install and operate. It comes with a print driver for the Windows® 2000 XP environment and the label design software NiceLabel(TM) ME. Almost all other Windows operating system-based label design software can use this printer. It is interconnected with the computer through a high-speed USB 2.0 interface.

Prior to this, users who wanted to print colored labels had only two choices: (1) Pre-printed the color labels or images on blank labels, and then printed them with a monochrome thermal transfer printer. (2) Buy a thermal transfer printer that costs as much as $18,000 to $33,000 and prints at only 600 dpi.

With the LX800, any combination of text, graphics, logos, and images can be printed in full color, with a resolution of up to 4800 dpi. All fonts in the PC can also be printed on the label. The printing speed should be based on the specific design of the label. The printable area per second is typically 38mm x 51mm (25% coverage).
