This patent relates to a laminated packaging material in the form of a sheet, tape, or sheet roll from which a shape-stable fluid-impermeable package is produced by folding and sealing, thermoforming, or other molding methods. The material has a first extruded layer and a second extruded layer; the first layer comprises a first thermoplastic material selected from the group consisting of propylene-based resins, and is preferably a propylene homopolymer or a copolymer derived from propylene and ethylene. The first layer contains 5%}85% by weight of inorganic mineral fillers, preferably dolomite and talc. The second layer includes a second thermoplastic material selected from vinyl polymers, and is preferably a low density polyethylene resin (LDPE). According to the present invention, the first layer and the second layer are directly laminated to each other without adhesive therebetween.
