For more than 30 years, Metso ’s patented Q-trim technology has become the industry benchmark and can reduce noise under severe operating conditions. Today, Metso has developed a new Neles Q2-Trim technology, which will improve performance to a new level, effectively solve the problem of aerodynamic noise, and reduce noise by up to 30 dB compared with traditional control valves. Metso's advanced Q2-Trim noise reduction technology combines multiple technologies and can bring multiple benefits to users in the process industry. By eliminating the damage that high noise may cause to equipment, employees and the environment, Q2-Trim can ensure the safety of the working environment of the staff, the stability of the process control and the operation of the equipment for a longer period of time to achieve uninterrupted production.
By reducing noise and related vibrations to acceptable levels, Q-Trim technology can also protect equipment, thereby reducing operating costs and minimizing the need for spare parts for valves and other accessories.
Combined with Q-Trim technology, the angular stroke valve can reach all relevant industry standard emission levels. The choice of compact size and installation location ensures that fewer pipe supports and easier pipe layout design are used. The new Neles Q2-Trim is a supplement to the existing Q-Trim technology and is available in standard ball valves for pressure classes ASME 150 – 600 in sizes 2 â€â€“ 16†and PN 10 – PN100 in sizes DN 50 – DN 400. The standard trim material is stainless steel, Q-Trim is made of special alloys, and larger sizes are available if needed.
