Die cutting is a key step in carton processing. How to ensure the quality of die cutting is a matter of great concern to printing companies. The main problems faced by the carton printing plant at present are long plate-changing time, poor accuracy of printing to cutting, poor die-cutting quality, many paper hairs, too many connection points, irregular traces, slow production speed, and scrap rate higher. Problem 1: Long version change time

The preparation work should be done well before the version change. Using the centerline of the device as a reference, you can easily and accurately set die cutting tools, including full-size die-cutting plates, pre-installed bottom templates, etc. At the same time, the tools are pre-installed outside the machine, and the fine-tuning on the machine also makes the adjustment time of repeated products further reduced. Under a good management system, the product changeover time is usually repeated, including automatic waste removal, which can be completed within 30 minutes.

Problem two: poor precision of printing and cutting

At present, users are increasingly demanding high-quality printed products, and packaging design is becoming more and more complex. The complexity of the box shape also increases the accuracy requirements of the die cutting quality. To maintain an error range of ± 0.15mm, a qualified die cutting machine must be used. At the same time, attention must be paid to the adjustment steps, especially the time for the paper table and the paper to reach the pre-regulation. .

Problem 3: Poor die-cutting quality and excessive paper hair

Low-quality cardboard, such as recycled cardboard, makes the die-cutting process more difficult. In order to achieve better die-cutting quality, the operator must find out the correct preparation method, especially the method of bottom-up, which can keep the sharpness of the die-cutting knife through the method of gradual pressure increase and regional pressure compensation. Problem 4: Too many connection points

The end user of the carton always asks for smaller and fewer connection points, and manufacturers always make the machine run faster, which increases the difficulty of the operator. In order to reduce the difficulty, the connection point should be at the stress point and hit with a grinder. Use a hard rubber strip or cork on the edge of the knife that needs to be connected to prevent the connection point from breaking.

Problem five: irregular lines

Considering the need to fold the glue box, the carton must have a good indentation line. More importantly, when these boxes are running on the automatic packaging machine, the opening force must be stable and consistent. In this way, selecting the appropriate type of trace line is the basic element when die cutting. According to the thickness of the paper, select the height and width of the mark line, and bond the appropriate mark line to the die-cutting bottom plate, the indentation can achieve higher quality and make the box easy to fold.

Problem 6: Slow production speed

The die-cutting speed of many carton printing plants is relatively low, such as 2000-3000 sheets / hour, while the die-cutting speed of some printing plants can be as high as 7000--7500 sheets / hour. Using modern automatic die-cutting machine, the operator can easily reach the highest production speed. Optimize the production speed by using tools recommended by equipment manufacturers. In addition, it can also achieve high quality products.

Problem seven: high scrap rate

The reject rate of most printing plants is usually high. There will be some scrap at the beginning of the die-cutting adjustment, which can be reduced by using the appropriate tools and the correct steps. The waste products in the process of operation are caused by shutdown and paper jam. Correct adjustment and accurate tool preparation can reduce the waste rate. In addition, manual waste removal will also increase the scrap rate and reduce profitability.
