High-density HDPE

Recently, Nova Chemicals Corp. of Calgary, Alberta, Canada introduced a newly developed high-density blown film-grade resin, Surpass HPs667-AB, which is more resistant to moisture and oxygen than traditional products. All have a 50% increase .

At the same time, Surpass HPs667-AB is suitable for cast film, extrusion coating, base lamination and partial barrier molding applications. The product has a high hardness and can be thinned. It can improve the ability of sustainable development and extend the shelf life of food. The new grade is an expansion of Nova's 167-AB high-barrier blown film resin. It is the use of an innovative molecular architecture that creates the outstanding performance of this new material.

Coincidentally, ExxonMobil Chemical also recently introduced a sealant resin, which is said to replace standard polypropylenes for use in cast PP films and biaxially oriented PP films.

The company, headquartered in Houston, Texas, USA, said that the Vistamax 3588FL has a lower sealing temperature and a wider hot-stick window , which can speed up the packaging line and increase efficiency. The hermetic area is larger, improving the anti-corrosion performance of cast PP film.

ExxonMobil introduced that the use of commercially available color masterbatch can control its friction coefficient, avoid the problems of upright filling and sealed packaging, and even use more sensitive films such as metalized cast PP film.   (For details, please refer to: )
