Stunned Chow Yun Fat: 3D printing cool cool card launch gun

I don't know if there are any friends who have the impression that there are often a class of very special martial arts masters in Hong Kong action films or gambling films (such as Chow Yun Fat in the recent "Macau Fengyun II"), he/she can kill cards as a hidden weapon. Fighting is quite pulling the wind. The good news is coming! Now you can have this stunt without having to study hard! Of course, the premise is that you have a 3D printer.

A few days ago, a high school teacher in the United States, Jeffery Kerr, designed a very interesting 3D printed poker launcher that can continuously launch more than 30 cards at a very fast speed. Ok, there is a video with the truth, let's see what this artifact looks like:

As shown in the video above, you only need to put the playing cards in the box of the launching gun, turn the crank on the side, and the cards inside will shoot like a cornice, forming a “saturation attack” on the target.

Kerr said that although the effect of playing is quite dazzling, its principle is very simple. Kerr explained:

“I’m very obsessed with designing mechanical toys recently. I’m interested in avoiding motors or electronics, but I’m going to explore those old-fashioned pure mechanical machines. In this launch gun, the crank is attached to the eccentric, and one turn is loaded every turn. The card has been designed to drive an impressive 3000 RPM of the drive wheel. Simply pull the trigger to lower the bottom of the card case onto the loading wheel of the loaded card and you will see the card flying continuously. Go out!"

Fortunately, Kerr has unselfishly put the design of this solitaire gun on the web to share with everyone (click here to download for free). Everyone can easily print out their 3D, and the total printing time will be about 10 hours. Almost all parts of this gun are 3D printed, except for some O-rings, 608 type skateboard bearings, screws and so on.

Kerr called the gun at a range of about 30 feet and warned not to point it at someone else's eyes to avoid injury.
