Development of silk and fruit fresh-keeping film

Japan Silkworm Insect Agricultural Technology Research Institute successfully used waste silk to process plastic wrap. The cling film has the advantages of high strength and tensile resistance, can adjust the humidity of the vegetable itself, and has good moisture retention in a dry environment, thereby keeping the freshness of the fruits and vegetables. After the fresh-keeping detection of the potatoes, the silk film was placed in a room at 25°C and 21% relative humidity. After 10 days, no blackening or deterioration of the potato was observed, and the same effect as the cold-storage preservation could be achieved.
The waste silk processing cling film method uses waste clams and waste silk as raw materials, and is made into a filament by a process such as boiling sorghum and alkali treatment. Cut silk fiber made of silk, and then with the special semi-refined recycled fiber processing.
