Photoresist ink panel LCD technology urgently needs to be broken

“Distribution technology is the key to restricting the use of pigments in liquid crystal displays,” said Ruolin Lin, director of the pigments division at DIC Corporation in Japan. “Because the demand for decentralized technology is high, it is difficult for new manufacturers to enter this market. At present, China has not produced light. Resist ink manufacturers have only a few manufacturers that assemble color filters and LCD panels."

According to Li Yaqin, a senior analyst at Avi Consulting, China is a big consumer of LCD panels. However, domestic manufacturers can only meet 5% of the demand for LCD panels in China. Photoresist inks, one of the core components of LCD panels, need to be imported. , facing a huge market gap. China's LCD industry in the upper reaches of the industrial chain, such as photoresist ink, filter and other core aspects of the development of the relative backwardness, leading to long-term control of the liquid crystal industry.

While China has not mastered the technology of pigment-based ink printing technology, developed countries have begun to develop new alternative technologies. Ruolin Lin introduced that the use of organic pigments in the production of photoresist inks is currently under way. It is expected that from 2011, new technologies will be expected to use dyes to produce photoresist inks.
