This 14-day trek through the EBC Grand Circle in Nepal was an adventure filled with breathtaking views and challenging conditions. While most lodges (LOGEs) provided basic accommodations, the indoor temperatures were very low at higher altitudes, making a good sleeping bag essential.
In the early days, temperatures were mild, and I could sleep in just underwear. However, as the altitude increased, the cold became more intense. At Dingboche (4,410m), the sleeping bag performed well, keeping me warm despite the harsh conditions.
Upon arrival at night, I unzipped the sleeping bag and immediately felt its warmth. It fluffed up quickly and had no unpleasant smell. The two-way YKK zipper allowed easy access to the lower body and prevented cold air from entering. The anti-pinch design made it smooth to use, and the Velcro closure ensured a secure fit.
The collar design improved thermal insulation, preventing heat loss during movement. The bottom had hanging points to maintain the loft of the filling. The sleeping bag also included a storage bag for keeping electronics warm in cold weather.
After adjusting the drawstrings, I slept comfortably in temperatures around -2°C. I woke up refreshed, with no discomfort or chill. The mummy shape offered enough space to move freely, and the overall performance was impressive.
